Field Note

Six minutes west of the park.

If you're standing at Madison Square Park at the corner of 23rd and 5th — looking at the Flatiron, the Eataly awning, the Shake Shack line — Chelsea Touch is six minutes due west. Straight down 23rd Street. Cross 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), keep walking, and you'll find the studio mid-block on the south side before you reach 7th. No turns, no detours, no cutting through buildings. The most efficient walk from any park-perimeter address in the neighborhood.

Our Madison Square clientele splits in three predictable ways. There's the lunch-hour crowd from the Flatiron and NoMad office buildings — usually a 60-minute Swedish or Deep Tissue, in and out, back at their desk by 2. There's the NoMad hotel crowd — guests at the Ace, the NoMad Hotel, the Carlton, the Marriott Vacation Club — who walk over for a 90-minute window they actually have time to enjoy. And there's the after-park crowd on weekends: brunch on 5th, walk through the park, massage at the studio, dinner. We see all three patterns most weeks.

Lunch-hour bookings work best between 12 and 1:30. We hold a few short-window slots on weekdays specifically for the office crowd — call before 11am to lock one in. The studio is appointment-only, so showing up cold doesn't always work, but the upside is you're never waiting once you're here. Lunch sessions are 60 minutes on the table plus ten minutes on each side for the walk and changing, which fits inside a real-world workday lunch break for most Flatiron-perimeter offices.

What we recommend most for this neighborhood: Swedish for lunch breaks, Deep Tissue for the regulars who finally got an hour to themselves, Hot Stone for hotel guests who want the full sensory experience after a day of meetings. If you're staying nearby and want something more, ask about the M4M signature — ninety minutes is the right amount of time to actually unwind from a New York business trip. The full menu and pricing live on the services page.

A note about the studio itself, since Madison Square Park hotel guests in particular tend to ask: this is a private, single-therapist-per-slot studio, not a chain spa. You won't hear the next room because there isn't one happening at the same time. The space is quiet enough that hotel guests use it as a pre-flight reset, and gay-owned in a way that's relevant to a lot of the men who walk over from the NoMad hotels. If that matters to you, the gay-friendly spa page walks through the why.

Practical matters for the park crowd: the N, R, and W trains stop at 23rd and Broadway, one block east of the park, and put you within seven minutes of the studio on foot. The 6 train at 23rd and Park Avenue South is two blocks east of the park. Walking from the park itself is, again, the fastest option. For directions, hours, and the closest subway entrance, see the studio location page. For same-day availability — especially weekday lunch slots — call (212) 555-0190 or use online booking before 11am.

If you're in the neighborhood semi-regularly — weekly meetings at Eataly's office tenants, recurring stays at the NoMad hotels, regular brunch at one of the 5th Avenue spots — set a recurring booking. We hold the same hour every week for clients who want it, and the same therapist learning the same body session-over-session compounds in a way one-off bookings never quite match. The about page walks through how the studio runs and who the therapists are; the booking page handles online reservations directly. Most of our park-perimeter regulars settled into their slot within three or four visits and have been on the same hour ever since.

N°01
Deep Tissue

“Finally a place in New York that doesn't make you feel like you need to justify being there. Marcus gave me the best deep tissue I've had in the city. Booked again before I left.”

— James B.April 2026
N°02
Hot Stone

“Hot stone on a winter night might be the best $150 I've spent in this city. Walked in cold and tense, walked out a different person.”

— Marco D.March 2026
N°03
Swedish

“Solid Swedish session, exactly what I needed mid-week. Studio is clean and quiet, therapist was unhurried. Not life-changing but not trying to be — just a good massage from someone who knows what they're doing.”

— Tony S.February 2026
